I've often wondered where the seemingly sudden influx of cross-dressers has come from in recent years. Being somewhat naive, I have always just assumed it was an outgrowth of the transsexual agenda and its subversive plot to recruit new trans-folk into the fold.
But, no. They have been training in Texas. In the Spurger school district (about 150 miles northeast of Houston) students have held a homecoming tradition for years (maybe generations!) where everyone -- from elementary students to high school seniors -- dresses as the opposite sex for one day.
But, no more. A parent there, concerned about "homosexual overtones" complained and got the event cancelled. Good thing, too. Like she said:
"It's like experimenting with drugs," Davies said. "You just keep playing with it and it becomes customary. ... If it's OK to dress like a girl today, then why is it not OK in the future?"
(Thanks, A, for the article! I guess those black boots and Army camo is more appropriate anyway).
