An easy quiz, courtesy of Althouse, that confirms I'm a liberal. I scored a 5 on a scale of 0-40 (that equates me with Ted Kennedy; I can live with that). I also took this test, and it confirmed my "Liberal" label (80/30 personal/economic).
I hope I do this well on my LAST FINAL EXAM -- EVER, tomorrow at 8 AM! (OK, so this was an easy exam, but it gave me an 'A' and it comes from one of my favorite bloggers, Julie, at Carter's Little Pill):
Your Vocabulary Score: A
Congratulations on your multifarious vocabulary! You must be quite an erudite person.
I saw this silly quiz over at Konagod. It got me pretty good, I think -- except the whole part of not needing anyone else. Oh, wait -- that was the whole point. OK, then, never mind.
Your Birthdate: March 7
You are an island. You don't need anyone else to make you happy. And though you see yourself as a loner, people are drawn to you. Deep and sensitive, you tend to impress others with your insights. You also tend to be psychic - so listen to that inner voice!
Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three.
I snagged this fun test from Magic Cookie. Click here to read the report on my personality. One thing I really liked about the test -- when it wanted to know my sex it offered: male, female, other. Then, in the report it scored my masculinity as very low and my femininty as very high. I would love to know how they scored that!
It's been a long time since I posted one of these stupid quizzes (actually, it's been nearly a year since my last one). But, I saw this over at Kristine's place, Unblague, and after taking it she chided me about having dated men and asked me to blog about it. So, well, ok.
You Have Your PhD in Men
You understand men almost better than anyone. You accept that guys are very different, and you read signals well. Work what you know about men, and your relationships will be blissful.
Obviously, I know something about men (assuming that a single, stupid quiz with 8 questions can actually discern something like that). But, as I told Kristine, I know more about men from having actually lived in both camps then from having dated men. But, I have actually dated a few men.
This surprised her. I thought I had blogged about that before, but I'm both too lazy and too short on time to go looking for a post that talks about it so I'll post a couple of comments here.
No, I'm not really attracted to men and never have been. My basic attraction is to women. However, I have known a couple of men that I thought were really wonderful and know several now that I think are drop-dead gorgeous. And, during periods of self-exploration, I've even slept spent some time with a couple.
I should probably be working on my paper, but I got less than 4 hours sleep last night and my mind is a fog. So, I'm going to clean house today and relax, and blog and try not to take a nap. Then, I'm going to bed early and get up in the morning and get crackin'!
In my perusals of blogs, I came across this stupid little quiz over at Coy's place. Part of me thinks: You need to make some lifestyle changes, Denise. Part of me thinks: Damn, you mean to tell me I still have another 5 years left?! (Updated -- I decided I better see what it said if I answered honestly):
You Will Die at Age 55
Not bad, considering your super wild lifestyle Want to live longer? Try losing a few bad habits.
Some of the law school blogs I've read today have at least one post that talks about how they should be studying instead of doing other stuff (like blogging!) (exceptions, of course, are those poor people on quarters who are not now preparing for exams). I am no exception. I've spent the better part of this day "working" on a paper that is due on Friday. I've never written a law paper before (Legal Practice notwithstanding) and I've little idea how to do it. I find that I get started and then I get stuck and my mind instantly wanders.
In my last wandering I came across this from Samples. She says she thinks I posted this before, but I did not. My post was about writing, here.
So, appropriate for a gender discussing blog:
Your Brain is 80.00% Female, 20.00% Male
Your brain leans female You think with your heart, not your head Sweet and considerate, you are a giver But you're tough enough not to let anyone take advantage of you!
OK, so this is just a bit weird. How can you pick a handful of adjectives and have some stupid blogthings quiz pick your birth month? But, it got mine right. Even though I would have to say that I'm not normally revengeful or musically talented. The rest of them, however, are pretty damn accurate:
Your True Birth Month Is March
Moody Secretive Revengeful Trustworthy Affectionate Loves traveling Loves attention Shy and reserved Musically talented Loves home decor Not easily angered Sensitive to others Loves special things Attractive personality Loves to serve others Loves peace and serenity Observant and assess others Loves to dream and fantasize Appreciative and returns kindness Hasty decisions in choosing partners Naturally honest, generous and sympathetic
