Obama for President!
Barack Obama sealed up the nomination tonight. I am inspired by him and excited about the possiblity of seeing him in the White House. Now, I just have to figure out how I can best support his candidacy and get him into the Presidency and keep Bush McCain out.
Oddly, I am also saddened today at the end of Hillary Clinton's campaign. No matter how you slice it today is an historic day. I would have been proud to support her for the Presidency. I *am* proud to support Obama!
Let's win in November!

Denise:
Hilary won Tn in the primary but my whole family voted for Barach. We can win in November. I too hated the choice because i had always hoped that I would in what remains of my lifetime get to to vote for a woman for President and a black for President.
As a native of Alabama, I can say "we've come a long way" in my 80 years. Prejudice still exists in this nation but it is dying slowly. Maybe there will be a place for us sometimes without the prejudice that we transgendered folk encounter daily
Hooray!!!!

sadly, even my closed minded backwards right wing conservative self has to admit that Barack Obama is the better candidate, even if he is a liberal. It's not that I think he will do anything about some of the issues that are important to me, it's just that I don't think he will do much to impede them. I pray that whoever wins will make steps to get the federal government to butt out of the lives of the citizens. I pray that whoever wins will improve the situation of the rights of ALL citizens (that means everybody.. white, black, LGBT, straight, religious,non-religious... EVERYBODY, without impeding the rights of anyone else)
probably more later...
